Aren't you ready stop second-guessing whether what you're buying to protect your family is actually harming them?

You know there's a lot of scary chemicals out there, but you're just not sure how to avoid them.

This morning you read an article about yet another chemical that can cause permanent damage to your child's body, and it's stressing you out.

That's why when you're walking through the produce section, you check out the organic strawberries. But holy cow, they cost twice as much as the regular ones! Are they really worth it?

You know you need sunscreen to take to your child's daycare. You check out the back label on a dozen bottles, and they all have a bunch of funky-sounding words. You finally give up and just go with the one labeled for kids. It has to be safe, right?

It's not just you. Here's the real problem:

  • There's big money to be made in marketing "natural" or "chemical-free" products - are these companies being honest?
  • There are more than 80,000 chemicals registered for use, and many of them have never been tested for safety by any regulatory agency.
  • Regulatory bodies like the FDA, CDC, and EPA don't always base recommendations on the most recent science.

You shouldn't have to whip out your phone for a giant Google search every time you want to buy shampoo.

All you need is a little help to make the best possible choices to protect your family without spending an arm and a leg.

That's why I've distilled (no pun intended) all the knowledge I gained while earning my PhD in Chemistry and Public Health into a simple, actionable course for parents. Introducing...

What Tara says:

This course was eye-opening on many aspects of chemicals and how they relate to my kids and my home. What I love about the Toxin-Free Handbook is that it not only tells you what chemicals to look out for and avoid, it also provides links to options to try out instead. I can totally see myself referring back to this course again and again.

After this course, you'll:

-Know for sure how to use medications safely (even if you're pregnant or breastfeeding)

-Easily choose foods, cooking methods, and storage methods that keep your family safe without breaking the bank

-Have actionable steps to remove chemical hazards that you were tricked into buying throughout your home

-Develop what we nerds call "scientific literacy" - basically, the ability to spot BS about facts and stats that affect your family's health

What's included:

Module 1 - The basics

Learn the basics of reading between the lines when you see someone on the interwebs talking about science.

Module 2 - Medication safety for families

BONUSES! $97 value

Includes the Avoiding Toxins for Babies mini-course, an exclusive resource page, and crash course in exposure science.

This course is for you if:

  • You try to be health conscious and chemical conscious, but you're not really sure if you're doing it right
  • You're ready for safety info from someone with the knowledge to back up what she says (instead of just a person selling the latest "all natural" product)
  • You're tired of people who clearly don't know what they're talking about using their Insta stories to misinform their following

If any of these things below describe you, you probably should move along...

  • You think all chemicals are bad - believe it or not, EVERYTHING is made of chemicals, including that "chemical-free" cleaner you just bought!
  • Nothing's going to convince you that these chemicals have a real effect on us

Irma's experience:

I learned a LOT of new information on which things in my home are more toxic than I realized. I was shocked to read about chemicals in my food storage, so I'll be going through my containers right away. And as someone who has asthma, I try to avoid sprays with harmful ingredients. I'm so glad this course has taught me what to avoid.

Frequently asked questions:

My parents didn't worry about chemicals in our food and home and I'm fine.

Okay, so first of all, that's not a question. But, there are around 2000 new chemicals introduced into the United States each year. So if you're 35, that's 70 thousand new chemicals since you were born. You want to protect your kids from all that.

Are you just going to scare me with a bunch of dangers I can't control?

I not here to make you paralyzed with fear. That's what a lot of environmental health gurus do, and frankly, it's crappy.

My purpose is to empower you - to tell you what you need to know to avoid chemical dangers. Every section of this course gives you actionable tips, from products you should steer clear of to how to remove existing dangers from your home.

Plus, there are checklists with each module, so you can easily go through your medicine cabinet, your kitchen, your whole home to make changes that will make a lifelong difference in your child's health.

How long do I have access to this course?

You get life-time access to the Toxin-Free Handbook. So any time you have a new question about a product, you can refer back.

Plus, you get automatic access to any updates (and I work hard to keep this course as up-to-date as possible).

Will this Handbook be helpful if I'm pregnant or have a newborn?

Yes! It's great that you're starting to protect your child so early in life.

To help you with this goal, there's a whole BONUS section called Avoiding Toxins for Babies.

What if my kids are already past the baby or toddler stage? Is it too late to keep them safe from toxic chemicals?

While it's true that many toxic chemicals have extra impact on the youngest kids, it's important to realize that every little change you make now will have a life-long impact on your child's health. It's never too late to improve the safety of your child's environment (which I show you exactly how to do with the course checklists).

Can't I just buy all-natural products to keep my family safe?

Unfortunately, just buying “natural” products isn't enough to protect yourself and your kids from toxic chemicals. First off, green-washing is a multi-billion dollar industry, and companies know they'll sell more products if they tell you something is safe even if it isn't.

And just because something is natural doesn't make it safe (as we discuss extensively in the medicine and remedies module).

Couldn't I just get all this info from Youtube or the internet?

I promise, I'm not trying to be a jerk. But I have to be real here: There are people with platforms, using TikTok or Insta to talk about their clean lifestyles who frankly have no clue what they're talking about. I've seen so much horrifyingly wrong information across the interwebs (but no, I'm not going to name names).

Your family's health is worth going to someone you can trust, who has the schooling and training (like a Chemistry and Exposure Science doctorate) to give you accurate advice about chemicals.

Is this info going to be above my head?

Even if you feel like you just barely survived Chemistry at school, you'll have no problem getting through this info. I've laid everything out in an easy-to-understand format, removed all the technical language, and made this handbook interesting and actionable.

And if you decide you just want to jump straight to “Tell me what to do,” you can always go directly to the checklists and the BONUS resource page.

Is it going to be super expensive to make the changes needed to keep my kids safe?

I get it, I have a budget too. That's why I have modules like Food and Cooking, so you'll know when to splurge at Whole Foods, and when cheaper items at your local grocery store will work just fine.

Who are you to be telling me about chemicals?

Hi, I’m Dr. Samantha Radford.

I earned my PhD in Chemistry and Public Health in 2012 from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. From there, I became an Assistant Professor teaching Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology courses, focusing on the impact of chemicals on human health.

Because children are so vulnerable to toxic chemicals, much of my research was focused on maternal-child health. And now that I have four kids of my own, I'm personally vested in finding the best ways to protect my family. Let me share my knowledge with you.

What you'll get:

  • 4 sections covering chemicals throughout your entire home ($170 value)
  • Lifetime access to any updates I make as new toxicants and research emerge
  • Checklists so you can easily go though and make changes to make your home safer ($40 value)
  • BONUS 1 - Avoiding Toxins for Babies mini course ($40 value)
  • BONUS 2 - Exclusive resource page so you can find the safest products for your family all in one place ($30 value)
  • BONUS 3 - Exposure science crash course: learn why it's so important for your child's health to avoid toxic chemicals when they're young ($25 value)

What Katie says:

Scrolling through Pinterest, I'm bombarded with people claiming to be teaching information on how chemicals are toxic. But everything is a chemical, and not everything is in fact toxic! As a chemist and a mom, Samantha explains how simple understanding toxic chemicals really is. I love how this course takes the fear of everyday life out of mom's minds.
